Kyle Hopkins
Kyle Hopkins is a Friends of Old Town Board Member and Chair of the Design Committee. He’s focused on enhancing Old Town's vitality and promoting its rich history through community lead additions to the public and private realm.
A Frederick County native, Kyle returned to Winchester after years in Chicago, Washington D.C., and Reston, Virginia. He is the owner of Four Square Architects, a boutique firm based in their renovated Old Town building on Piccadilly St. The firm is active throughout Winchester, helping transform and protect several historic structures, including Pizzoco Pizza Parlor and Paladin Downtown which both won awards from Winchester's Preservation Historic Winchester and have been published in national magazines.
Prior to joining Friends of Old Town, Kyle was appointed to Winchester's Board of Architectural Review for 7 years, serving as Chair for much of that time. He’s a former member of Winchester's Economic Development Authority, and the Winchester SPCA. Kyle previously volunteered as house captain for Rebuilding Together, and as HOA committee liaison to the Reston Architecture Review Board.
Kyle holds a Masters in Architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology, where he served as a Morgenstern Scholar. He also earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from James Madison University with an Interior Design focus. He lives in an old Victorian house in Winchester with his husband, dogs, and crafty cat.
